Update: Make sure to be familiar with this new direction from the State Government – Closure and Restriction (Limit the Spread) Direction no. 9
From Saturday, 5 December 2020 all museums and galleries, along with a range of other businesses, will be required to keep a contact register of staff and patrons. The aim of this is to make contract tracing as effective as possible should it be required. The information to be collected is:
- Telephone Number
- Time of Arrival
It is mandatory for everyone who attends the venue to provide this information including staff, patrons, volunteers and contractors and the information needs to be kept for 28 days.
- If you have your own electronic booking system that capture patrons information you can use that.
- If you would like to use the new SafeWA App this can now be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store giving you time to get set up. This gives the business its own unique QR Code and the information goes directly to the Health Department.
- If you would prefer to maintain a paper-based register this is also acceptable. A template is available via the Government website. Alternatively, we are happy to provide you with a copy. Click here to email us.
