What we do

Advocate

We recognise the value of collections and the importance of culture and art in everyone’s lives – and we make sure everyone else knows, too.

Educate

We facilitate the learning of new skills and knowledge to make sure those working and volunteering in museums and galleries are leaders in the field.

Advise

We provide advice on all aspects of collections to help raise the professional standards of WA’s collecting organisations.

Govern

We make sure everyone understands the importance of policies and procedures and follows ethical practices with their collections.

Support

We deliver specialised training, networking opportunities and professional development to strengthen the sector and help it flourish.

Promote

We celebrate and share the work of all Western Australian collecting organisations because we believe it is wonderful.
